This was an extraordinary experience. George and Panos made sure everyone was comfortable in their kayaks and explained all maneuvers we needed. The scenery was spectacular and paddling into a cave was incredible. They helped us tie up and go into a blue cave by foot and one had the option of immersing in water at the back. I am not the most agile and they were helpful and reassuring. We stopped on a beach on the return trip for a delicious picnic. One of the highlights of our 21/2 week Greek trip.

Sea Kayaking in Kardamyli with our wonderful guides, Pano and Angelos was a memorable, fun experience. The water was crystal clear and the scenery was stunning. Our guides were friendly, knowledgable about the history of the area and shared pictures with us later. Visiting the caves was very cool especially swimming inside one of them. Tasty lunch and swim at a lovely beach. All round a perfect way to spend a morning in Greece!

Everything was well arranged, mega nice guidance and good to maintain. Her view is mega cool and the caves are really a great experience to experience. I didn’t know I would love this so much, but it’s a bucket list activity! 🤩 Keep in mind that there is no toilet, so go somewhere to the toilet if you have to 🫢

The whole staff are people-oriented and are there to give us the best time. from keeping the groups small and making sure the day isn't crowded and all the way to making sure we stretch our muscles at the end of the day. We felt in the best of hands, all the way from 10 to 85 years old . And the Blue Cave is stunning.

Wow! With every paddle stroke was a beautiful sight and an awe inspiring story. Our guide, Fotios, was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and patient with me and my son as was trailed behind everyone else. Fotios took the time to get to know us as his guests, not his customers, and taught us so many things we would never have learned otherwise. My oldest son has a lot of anxiety, and when it came to the part of the tour that you swim in the cave, my son was very, very frightened. Fotios was extremely calm and understanding, and gave my son the time and guidance that he needed to overcome his fear. I was more than grateful for him at this moment. The picnic lunch was so cute and perfect for this kind of outing. I’m still thinking about the oil, tomato, and mozzarella on that delicious bread! Truly a beautiful day! Bonus: they take all the pics and videos for you!

This was a truly wonderful experience that we will remember forever. Fotios and the other guides we do welcoming helpful and knowledgeable. The trip is brilliantly planned with breaks to hear about local history. I water and scenery were gorgeous. We visited the stunning blue cave. A swim in here is a must. We then kayaked into a beautiful cave with stalactites and bright blue water. Then a swim, snorkel and picnic on a beautiful beach. It was wonderful to share fresh local produce and meet other people from all over the world. A truly magical experience - thank you.

The sea kayak in Kardamili was a fantastic experience. It was just beautiful (green, blue water), the visit of the caves was amazing and a unique experience. We felt very secure (2 guides for around 12-15 people) and Yiannis shared his love for the area and his knowledge about the history and mythology. Even the picnic on the beach was simple and delicious We very much enjoyed and happy to have such a nice experience.

Yiannis was exceptional as our guide. We arrived to have everything laid out and ready, he gave us an excellent safety briefing before we headed out, and he made the experience totally enjoyable for all ages. He is well informed, loves what he does and the knows the area backwards, being a native of the Mani. As a guide he was informative, concerned about our wellbeing, and a lot of fun, yet always alert to our safety. I cannot recommend highly enough, this is a MUST DO experience!

It was a super nice experience, highly recommended! Super friendly tour guides, which provide you with information, offer good help and do this with the necessary humor! Which brings a nice Mood within the group. The distances are fine to do with rest moments. And a great environment at sea and in the caves! You get a typical Greek lunch and the necessary tips for the area. Bring clothes that can get wet and a cap.

Six persons from three generations (5 - 73) on the same tour in three double kayaks: We all enjoyed every minute on the sea, in the caves and on the beach. Our excellent guide Fotios gave interesting lessons in the local culture, history and geography. He frequently used his camera, so the next day we received a nice photo album from him, documenting a splendid day. No need to bring a camera (or food, for that matter). It is all taken care of.

If you are going to be anywhere near Kardamili, do this activity! If you're not, then get yourself there and do this activity! LOL. Seriously, it far exceeded our expectations. Kayak, swim, swim in a cave, kayak in a cave.. it was absolutely fantastic. To top it off, the guides were excellent, and full of interesting facts and history of the area. Absolutely top notch.

We have an experience that exceeded our expectations with our guides, George and Yanis. Their excitement and love of what they do is entoxicating. It was calm sea kayaking and a stop at a cave were culminated by a swim on a secluded beach and a lunch picnic hosted by our guides. At the end of our two-week trip our two teenagers mentioned it as the highlight of their Greek experience and we wholeheartedly agree. The area itself is incredibly beautiful and we recommend spending at least a couple of days between Mani and Kardamyli, and booking a sea kayaking experience with This company.

It was a very nice, informative and fun excursion. The Guids are super friendly, helpful, motivated and competent. We first learned the right technique for paddling and also learned a lot about the region during the tour. We were also in two beautiful caves and had a very delicious, regional lunch with good bread on a beautiful beach. In addition, the sea in this region is super clear and you can see a wide variety of blues throughout. It is a completely successful excursion package.

This trip was absolutely amazing – I don’t even know where to begin! The guides were incredibly funny and full of joy. They made the perfect team. The whole excursion was perfectly organized, with plenty of breaks along the way (and even those were exciting – you’ll see what I mean!). The viewpoints we visited were absolutely stunning, and the lunch was really delicious. There wasn’t a single thing that wasn’t great. I’m absolutely thrilled – I can only recommend it!

What a brilliant trip. From start to finish, our guide/instructor George was a great guy. Very friendly, informative and we felt super safe during the entire trip. We saw some beautiful sights and were able to paddle into a cave which was a new experience. We had a lovely picnic on a secluded beach under the shade of a tree, while George chatted to us about his beautiful homeland. Definitely bring water and sunscreen as advised; you don’t realise how hot it is while on the water. The guides were very pleasant and professional. The kayaks were in perfect condition and sleek and fast. The seascape is extraordinarily beautiful and entering the caves was exciting.

We had a phenomenal time. We are a family of 5 and our kids are 12, 10 and 6 years old and we all felt confident and had a really fun time. The blue cave was a highlight and the lunch was absolutely delicious! Our 6 year old initially was very nervous but she swapped into George the guides boat and straight away she started paddling and chatting away happily! The kids even spotted an octopus as we were launching. The distances we kayaked were just right for us as novice kayakers and it was tailored to us as the other group going out took a slightly more challenging route. It was fantastic to receive an email with all our photos from the day and we were blown away by the friendliness of the guide and the knowledgeable tour. We had such an incredible time and we would highly recommend it.

You gotta try this kayaking tour in Kardamyli, even if you're just visiting! The water view is totally different from land. The sea's super calm, so it's easy for anyone. The guides are pros; besides the usual stuff, they're great storytellers and so charming. We were two adults and a teen, used a tandem and a single kayak, and loved it. Huge thanks to George and Fotis, two of the best guides ever.

The canoe trip with Georg was just wonderful. He told us a lot about the history of the mountains and Kalamiti. He took a lot of time for us and brought us closer to the area with the canoes. It was an indescribable experience and we can recommend this canoe tour 100%! Just great.

Fantastic sea kayaking experience along the coast of Mani. Giorgos is an excellent kayaking instructor and tour guide with a wealth of local knowledge to share throughout the tour, including where to find the best hidden caves. The scenery along the coast line is stunning and the waters beautifully crystal clear, makes for an excellent trip out. This was our second tour with Explore Messina (we'd done the E-bike tour earlier in the week) and have had a great time at both. We'll definitely be using them again on our next visit. Our family of five had a fantastic morning. George is a brilliant instructor and tour guide with loads of fascinating stories along the way. It was my first time kayaking and I loved it due to how he put us at ease from the word go. I can’t recommend the experience highly enough.

We had a great day kayaking with Fotis and Trifonas! They kept us safe and entertained while providing a wonderful time exploring the shoreline, island and caves near Kardamyli. We enjoyed learning about the historic lime kilns, types of olives grown in the area and especially having some of Fotis’ own olive oil with our picnic lunch.

We had a perfect day paddling on the blue waters of Kardamyli as a family of three. A big thumbs up of our guide George who was the heart and soul of this excusion. Extraordinary experience on the greek coast. We did explore caves with the kajak and on foot! We had a picknick on the beach. Ask for George as a guide. He really makes this trip a great experience. From Sea Kayaks to the F1 Finish Line! Allereerst bedankt voor een geweldige dag op het water! Op moment dat we boekten om te gaan kajakken op zee konden we niet bedenken dat we dit gingen doen. Vanmorgen om 10u hebben we verzameld in Kardamyli. Daar werden we vriendelijke ontvangen door Fotios & Aggelos. De kajaks lagen al klaar voor onze komst. Na wat uitleg over de kajaks en wat we gaan doen konden we vertrekken. Met hele fijne uitleg over de omgeving! Veel geleerd vandaag over deze omgeving van Griekenland. Dan zijn we met onze kajak met zijn alle de grot in gevaren dit was al een hele ervaring! Daarna door naar een andere grot. Hiervoor moesten we allemaal uit onze kajak en zijn we zo de grot in gegaan. Hele bijzondere ervaring! Heel mooi. Koud en zoet water vanaf de bergen vanaf boven en warm zout zeewater die combi maakt dat je voeten warm zijn en je bovenlichaam koud. Heel mooi door het natuurlijk licht wat binnen komt door de weerkaatsing van de . Terug naar het strand voor lunch. Brood met olijfolie, zout en oregano belegd met kaas, tomaat, wortel, olijven en een peer als toetje. Alles wat je nodig hebt na zo'n prachtige tocht. Daarna op het gemakje terug naar het startpunt. Waar we na een gezellig gesprek weer terug naar het hotel gingen na een geslaagde dag. Dank voor deze toffe ervaring, de gezelligheid en de foto's!!

We had such a great time on the two trips we took with Explore Messinia in April 2025! First, the kayaking trip from Kardamyli was incredible! Not only was the nature stunning, but we also learned so much about the history and geology of the region from our wonderful, warm, patient and encouraging guides, all people from the region willing to share their lives and home region with us. We even swam in a cave :) Second was the e-bike trip in the Kalamata olive groves, which was beautiful, fun and another learning experience, with a fun and warm guide who not only helped us with some tips on mountain biking, but also shared his life and knowledge with us about Kalamata, regional traditions and food, olive trees and growing olives. I highly recommend Explore Messinia and hope to be back for another trip with them!

We went as a group of 14 on this kayak tour. Our guides were informative, safe and fun! It was an experience that I will never forget. The scenery, caves and beach were magical places. If I was ever in Kardamyli, I would take the tour again. The follow up later with all the pictures was not expected, but much appreciated.

We had a Kardamyli kayaking trip - it was amazing! The guides are very friendly, helped a lot (we didn't have any experience). The route is very nice and easy to cross. The stop at the cave - was great, we swim there for a while. All 4 (a bit more) hours passed very quick, we didn't even notice that.

We did the half day sea kayaking Kardamyli trip. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip - it was a perfect mix of learning about the area, the right length of trip and a tasty picnic to enjoy on the beach. The sea was crystal clear and going into the sea caves a great experience. Georgios was excellent and really good company. He clearly knows a lot about the area and loves what he does. He covered some useful kayaking guidance and staying safe. We felt well looked after on the trip and in very good hands. All the arrangements beforehand were very good, with clear information of what to bring. We would thoroughly recommend it and will no doubt join a future trip when we return to the area.

The sea kayak adventure with Explore Messinia around the stunning Kardamili coast guided by George is the most memorable adventure of our trip. We felt privileged to have the sea to ourselves as the season hasn’t properly started and George shared his extensive knowledge of the history and geography of this special area, The Mani. Safety and skills briefing in the harbour before setting off giving confidence to near beginners to handle the very stable 2 person kayak was much appreciated . The cave visit is other worldly and nothing is rushed including delicious lunch on peaceful inlet. Perfect in every way!

This is the third time we (a group of 4 adults and 3 teenagers) do sea kayaking with ExploreMessinia, and in particular with Giorgos as our guide, and a new location for us (Methoni, after Kardamyli and Pylos). Amazing as always. Great selection of location (combining natural beauty and history), friendly/hospitable/entertaining guide who truly loves what he does and enjoys hosting people, professional/responsible/experienced. Authentic local snack during break. I can't recommend it any higher to anyone (visitor or local!) who wants to (re)discover the best of what Messinia has to offer. We will be back for more.

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Kayaktour in Kardamili mit Ausflug in eine Höhle, in der man baden konnte. Der Guide ist immer dabei und sehr professionell. Eines der Highlights unseres Urlaubs.

We did a half day kayak in Kardamili and I reckon if you're in the Peloponnese, you need to do this. This is not normally the sort of thing we would do (to be honest we're both a bit scared of the sea) but I have absolutely no regrets getting up early and giving this a go. The route along the coast is beautiful and full of surprises, including one of the most awe-inspiring places (which we were asked to keep secret) that you wouldn't be able to see otherwise. Trifonas was an excellent instructor and guide, funny and clearly cared about people's safety, and the level of fitness required wasn't too high (we came after 4 hours sleep and with a bit of lockdown belly and managed just fine). Overall, not an experience I'm going to forget for some time, for all the right reasons. Amazing stuff.

Sea kayaking with George as our guide was a most amazing and wonderful experience. My husband and I are older and had no previous kayaking experience, but that didn’t matter. George taught us the skills we needed. So we had a wonderful time on the water and learned about Greek history, culture, and customs, too. We had a wonderful kayak trip along the coast from Kardamyli to Dolphin Bay. George and Elias are amazing guides. They are friendly, funny and they know a lot about the regional history and culture. They show you some incredible secret spots along the coastline, especially the blue cave was breathtaking. During the break we enjoyed some delicious local food. Thank you again for this great trip! We did the kayak tour Kardamyli and Stoupa with Trifonas. It was a great tour, Trifonas was really nice and quite funny. We had a really nice time. I had an absolutely beautiful time!! Kayaking in the ocean around Kardamili is breathtaking and the guides at explore Messina are so passionate and knowledgeable about the area. They took us to a beautiful beach and a stunning cave, and then supplied fresh lunch of local produce on the beach. The entire experience was awesome.

We did a great morning kayak trip with Photis and Trifonas south from Kardamyli past Merope island to Foneas beach for a picnic lunch (which they provided) and then back. They are great guides - very friendly, knowledgeable - and it was very good value for the money: we got to see some places we would never otherwise have seen and the coast from a different angle. No previous experience needed: they will explain everything. Highly recommended.

This tour was a highlight of our stay in Greece - if you're in doubt, this is your message to book this tour and get a unique view of the Mani peninsula's wild coast and caves from your Kayak! Together they lead us in a group of around 10 people from the Harbor of Kardamyli to see the wild coast and venture in some of the caves, including swimming in the blue cave nearby, which was a one in a lifetime experience for us. The care they took to make everyone feel welcome, comfortable, heard and have fun were truly unrivalled. Georgios gave plenty of historical and mythical context to everything we have seen and shared his pride of the Mani peninsula. The cherry on top was an extremely homely picnic on the beach featuring hand cut vegetables, local cheese and oil. Thank you so much for your expertise and kindness!

Sea kayaking with Explore Messinia was amazing!! Fun exploring the caves and coast around kardamyli with Yiorg our fantastic guide. Booked in advance, but of winds and high seas we had to wait a day. Yiordg was very flexible with scheduling the trip and was fun and informative on our sea kayaking trip. Our kids did well but when one got a little sea sick, Yiorg was very thoughtful and brought us to a beautiful cave via land. We had a lovely picnic there and were very happy with the trip. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting kardamyli. Thank you!!!

This was the highlight of our visit in Kardamyli! Our guides Roque and Fivos were great! Knowledgeable, friendly, fun and so accommodating. The trip to the cave was a bonus and so magical; the lunch was delicious. Kayaks were good - solid, comfortable and high quality. 10/10

We took a day trip around Kardamyli. The kayaks and the gear are great, the entire day was perfectly organized, the instructor was very helpful for first timers and very knowledgeable with stories about the region. Would come again!

This Kayak-Tour was all in all an amazing experience!! Especially the guides George & Roque were super professional and extremely kind at the same time. You could tell they are definitely passionated about what they do. The fact that George is a local and grew up in this area knowing all the secret, hidden spots and all the story’s about it makes it even more special and authentic. Even tho they actually don’t provide a lift there, they took me from Kalamata to Kardamyli because otherwise I wouldn’t be able to join (I was just by myself and it was already the day of my departure - I didn’t want to risk missing my flight due to public transportation). Besides that the weather was perfect, the whole tour was great… wonderful landscape views, turquoise waters, visits in some caves (with the kayak and one without including swimming in a kind of magical shining blue water hole), a delicious picknick including just healthy, local food at one of the most stunning beaches I’ve seen. - they brought even snorkelling equipment which you could use… so much fun and only good vibes involved!! Had a great group as well and met beautiful people from all over the world (Norway, Romania, USA, Greece, Portugal) Besides that you’ll definitely feel secure doesn’t matter how experienced you are (it was only my second time on a kayak) and I am sure even if it would be your first - they would find a way to make it super comfortable for you! I guess that’s enough being said don’t hesitate to ask them anything. Really interesting and good human beings by the way. Wished I would have had more time to do more trips with them. Hopefully next time
