The experience was more better than we expected! Is was absolutely fantastic and the best thing that we did with my girlfriend during 15 days holidays in Peloponnisos! Fotis was a great teacher and fantastic company for us! Except the sport experience which we enjoyed, he explained us about the history, he guide us to a fantastic beach for swimming and the picnik was a real greek healthy one on time! Thank you so much!

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Explore Messinia! It was our first time trying kayaking and, to be honest, we weren’t sure if we would enjoy it — but it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The whole activity is totally value for money: we took the time to learn the basics, our guide shared fascinating details about the history and places around us, we enjoyed a lovely picnic, and we discovered some truly beautiful beaches along the way. From the very beginning, our trainer made us feel completely comfortable and safe, which allowed us to relax and enjoy every moment. This is a highly recommended experience, and if we ever find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely book another adventure with them!

We had a truly lovely time on this trip. Fotios was very capable and experienced with the kayaks, one of the best safety and technique briefings I've had. He also knew a huge amount about the local area and history and his enthusiasm shone through to help make this a day to remember. The scenery is truly amazing and paddling across the bay under your own steam is pretty special.

Fotios and Pavlos were two amazing ambassadors of Greek beauty and history. They guided us through a wonderful sea with patience and competence. We really enjoyed sharing a good picnic meal, talking about our experiences in our countries. Oh, and their advice on local food was great too!

On the way back, he let them help navigate the kayak, which meant the world to them and made the whole trip even more exciting. We had an excellent time exploring Navarino Bay with Fotis and learning about the history of the area. The kayaking was relatively easy as we had minimal winds and currents with clear instructions from our guide. He was great fun, knowledgeable and kind which added to our enjoyment of the day. The picnic was delicious free our paddling and gave us an opportunity to connect as a group. We would highly recommend if to anyone and viewed it as a very special day in an unspoilt and special area of the world.

We had a wonderful experience kayaking in the beautiful Bay of Navarino. The scenery is breathtaking: crystal clear waters, unspoilt nature and a calm that makes it all the more special. Paddling along the coast we discovered spectacular views, small caves and hidden beaches, far from the crowds. The activity was perfectly organized: the equipment was in excellent condition and the guide experienced, attentive and passionate. Along the way he told us historical and natural curiosities about the area, making the hike even more interesting. Suitable for everyone, even those who do not have great experience with kayaking. A perfect way to discover the authentic beauty of this corner of Greece. Highly recommended!

We had one of the special days in life that you can only be grateful for. Navarino Bag is stunning and we had the most perfect calm conditions to paddle. It is all quite easy and relaxing. Our guide Fotis was kind, fun and knowledgeable about the area. The picnic was delicious and gave all the guests and opportunity to get to know each other. I can highly recommend the tour without hesitation.

Wow what an amazing day we had. We're a family of 3 with an 11 year old, and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our adventure sea kayaking. Both George and Christina had a real passion for the local area and were very knowledgeable, giving a great insight to the history of the area. This was a highlight of our recent week in Navarino Bay and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a fun adventure and an authentic experience of Greece. Photis, our guide, was a mine of information about the local area, customs, and history and he really brought these aspects alive for us. He prepared a wonderful picnic of Greek 'fast food', including olives, tomatoes and delicious home made olive oil from his farm. His whole approach was knowledgeable and accessible. We paddled from Golden Beach to the island of Sphacteria and saw the unforgettable Russian monuments created after the famous naval battle in the bay. There was also time for a swim to cool down. The paddling is a good workout, but doesn't require any special skill or fitness level. Single and double kyaks are available. Overall, it was a great experience!

What a wonderful experience! We're a group of five with two kids (11 & 12), two adults & grandma (80) - all beginners. The kayaks are easy to handle, the scenery is awesome and our guide Fotios clearly loves his work and made this trip so much better than expected. We had a great day out in the water, kayaking at Navarino Bay, with explore Messinia's professional guides. It was a lovely experience for all of us - a large group with children aged 6-13. The guides were very patient with the kids, taught them (and us) how to handle the kayak safely, played games with them, and prepared a great picnic for all of us out on the beach. We had great fun and learned a lot about the area and it's history. The gear was top quality as well. We definitely recommend this as a family activity.

The kayak tour of the Navarino bay was a great activity the guides were very knowledgeable and extremely friendly and the provided lunch was very tasty. If you get a chance I would definitely recommend but remember to take sunscreen and cover up . The scenery is beautiful

We had such a fabulous time on the sea kayak experience in Navarino Bay!! We would 100% do this again if we return to the area. We met our guides Roque and Fotis in the morning where they told us some helpful tips on kayaking techniques. There were two other people on the kayak trip. The guides made it LOTS of fun and had plenty of good stories and history. High quality kayaks. We had a chance to take a swim before our lunch on the beach which was delicious. They took photos of the day and emailed them to us so we have memories of the trip. Do not hesitate to book this experience!!

We had a great Kayak Tour with Giorgos, we went across Navarino Bay including a nice lunch break and time for snorkeling. Giorgos gave us some helpful tips for a better technique which we very much appreciated. We can 100% recommend booking a trip with them!

Wir haben in der Nebensaison eine tolle "Private Tour" mit dem 2er Kayak in der Navarino Bucht gemacht. Von der Einweisung in die Basics der Kayak-Technik über Erzählungen zur Geschichte der Bucht bis zum griechischen Picknick und den tollen Fotos, die unser Guide George von unserer Tour gemacht hat, hat einfach alles gepasst. Nach unserem Start im Hafen von Pylos sind wir auf dem flachen Wasser an den Ausgang der Bucht gepaddelt und haben den malerischen Steibogen aus der Nähe betrachtet. Danach sind wir in die sogenannte Drachenhöhle gepaddelt, hier war der Wellengang außerhalb der Bucht schon ganz deutlich zu spüren. Dank George haben wir uns aber immer auf der sicheren Seite gefühlt. Bei unserem anschließenden griechischen Picknick an einem winzigen Sandstrand auf der Insel Sfaktiria hatten wir die Gelegenheit zu schnorcheln genutzt und konnten hierbei eine große Meeresschildkröte Unterwasser beobachten, ein fantastisches Erlebnis! Nach der leckeren Stärkung ging es weiter zu einer weiteren Unterwasserhöhle, wo wir auf drei ordentlich planschende Seehunde gestossen sind, die unsere Kayaks dann noch ein kurzes Stück begleitet haben. Wer sich also auch für die tierischen Bewohner der Bucht interessiert ist bei dieser Tour goldrichtig. Rundum eine äußerst empfehlenswerte Tour mit einem sehr netten Guide, perfekter Organisation und -mit etwas Glück- tollen Tierbeobachtungen, die ihr Geld (190 Euro für 2 Personen, Dauer: 4,5 Stunden) auf jeden Fall wert ist!

My 8 year old son and i went kayaking with explore messinia in navarino bay. We had a great time, it was well organized and the guides took great care to make the experience a special one. Bringing a snorkling mask is recommended.

We were a group of 4 adults and 2 teens and spent a wonderful 4 hours kayaking around Navarino Bay. The whole experience was perfect, our guide was such a lovely guy, totally competent, caring, knowledgeable and funny, in English and Greek! I can't recommend this enough!

We went for the Sea kayaking tour in Navarino Bay with George and I have to say that it was a perfect day for the full family. George is a great guide, with the best balance between historical and sea kayaking knowledge. The day starts with a tutorial. We're a family of 6, with 4 kids aged 9 to 17. We had no previous kayak experience but George made this all very easy. We stopped snorkeling, jumping, diving, and had a lovely picnic in a secluded beach, like the most beautiful swimming pool ever! The kids were enchanted and honestly, as the kayaks are of great quality, the paddling was not painfully at all. I'm very happy to write these few lines as George and his teammates do a great job and really care about the success of your day.

I really enjoyed kayaking with these guys once in the Lousio river and next time at the gulf of Navarino, sapietza island! They are young, very experienced, friendly taking all precautions to avoid any incident and they are great story tellers! Amazing experience! It is also very recommended for large groups and families with little children so that they can experience nature! Next time I ll in kalamata area, I will definitely organize something guys!

This was so magical; the distance was just right. Kayaked to a Greek Island! Cannot put into words the views, Mediterranean Sea, beyond beautiful. Our guides were so very welcoming , friendly and helpful, with a side of humour too. I highly recommend; I did this as a solo excursion and I was more than comfortable. And would do it again in a heartbeat.

We had a fantastic day exploring the beautiful Navarino Bay with George our excellent guide. The instruction at the start was very clear and concise and the distances we covered perfect for our level of fitness (we are not so young any more). We visited the island and sea cave, sampled the bigger waves beyond the harbour mouith which was exciting. We also stopped at a lovely beach for a swim and a simple yet delicious picnic. George is extremely knowledgeable of the area and taught us about the extensive history of the place from spartans through to naval battles of the 19th century which changed the course of Greek history. I thoroughly recomend this trip.

In one word, wow. My husband and I went kayaking with George. First stop we stopped at a small uninhabited island and got explanations from George about the place. We received very lovely treatment. The instructors were charming, with a good mood and excellent energy and made the whole experience charming. I recommended all my friends to come.....

Our competition guides prepared us well for kayaking and provided all the important information. We made stops in between and were told historical stories. The picnic was delicious and could recover. It was all very nice! We were going for a two-day kayaking. The kids knew their work very well. They took us to very nice places (monuments and beaches) telling us their story. The food they provided was too delicious. Very friendly and pleasant everyone! I highly recommend them!

Lovely trip from our resort to Navarino Bay. Great equipment, well briefed pre excursion, paddled to an historic site where we went ashore for a visit to a memorial site and went into a Russian church. Then paddled to see an old Greek castle before stopping for a swim and lunch, which was simple and delicious. Roque and Trifonas were excellent, we would highly recommend this trip. No previous paddle experience necessary.

Such a beautiful experience in Navarino bay! Kayaking in stunning nature and enjoying wonderful views from "secret" spots! Swimming was really refreshing and the traditional Greek food during the lunch break was delicious. Our guide was amazing too! He was really helpful during paddling and he told us many new things about the place that we've been. Don't miss it!

Our family had a fantastic day of sea kayaking on the stunning Navarino bay. George and Agrivi were great instructors and a lot of fun. The kayaks are modern and have a rudder with foot steering which made life easier to navigate the boat. The trip culminated on the beach with a light lunch of cheese, vegetables, bread and olive oil. Highly recommend sea kayaking in this lovely part of Greece with George and his crew.

Great, friendly service from the start. I have a 9yr old daughter who kayaks regularly at home, and thought this would be fun for her. Trifonas was super helpful in suggesting this trip and email communication was exceptionally helpful. On the day, Roque and Christos couldn't have done any more for us. Friendly, very informative about the history and geography of the area, and a great picnic. Daughter ended up paddling tandem with me since the adult sized sea kayaks were a bit big for her, plus it was a bit windy. She absolutely loved it though, especially chatting about her kayaking with Roque. Highly recommended trip!

Our sea kayak trip in Navarino was an amazing experience! We enjoyed paddling with our friendly and hospitable guide Roque. Also,the tour in Sfaktiria island where Roque gave us a lot of informations for the reach history of the place, was very interesting. During the picnic in the beach we had a pleasant break,tasting fresh fruits and topical products and having a friendly chat with the rest of the group. We are looking forward for our next exploring. We had an amazing day, our guide George was super friendly and fun and had so much knowledge about Kalamata and Greece’s history. We started off kayaking to a nearby island which is where we got to lean a lot about the area’s history as well as see some important local tributes. We then continued all through the bay and slightly out into the open see to get a feel for the waves there and then back for lunch were we had a great Greek lunch and had some time to swim before finishing our final stretch of kayaking before ending for the day. It was truly the highlight of our holiday and George made it a true fun experience for our entire group. Definitely recommend.

We did the kayaking from Akrogiali Beach on the eastern side of Kalamata bay. It was such a fun trip beginning with good instruction delivered by our endearing guide Foivis & his able assistant. Foivis was an absolute joy keeping us entertained whilst imparting his passion for the sea & the beautiful surroundings. His enthusiasm was infectious & knowledge of his country’s history, culture, flora, fauna & food, impressive. An intelligent, genial, warm hearted man, loving his job & the surroundings. The kayaking was great fun without being over strenuous. The sea & scenery were both beautiful & we were informed of interesting information about area as we paddled. We stopped twice at secluded beaches for swims & had basic but hearty lunch which set us up nicely for the paddle back. We can heartily recommend this trip which was informative, but more importantly, great fun.

Loved every part of this experience! The guides were patient and fun, helped make sure we were totally comfortable in the water and kept everyone laughing the whole time. Everything was very well-timed and not too tiring, we especially loved the picnic and swimming. INCREDIBLE views and got to learn some cool history about Navarino Bay. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Kalamata area and very grateful to have had so much fun!!

This is the third time we (a group of 4 adults and 3 teenagers) do sea kayaking with ExploreMessinia, and in particular with Giorgos as our guide, and a new location for us (Methoni, after Kardamyli and Pylos). Amazing as always. Great selection of location (combining natural beauty and history), friendly/hospitable/entertaining guide who truly loves what he does and enjoys hosting people, professional/responsible/experienced. Authentic local snack during break. I can't recommend it any higher to anyone (visitor or local!) who wants to (re)discover the best of what Messinia has to offer. We will be back for more.

After a good instruction with helpful guides made a trip with the kayak. Two trips: on an island and during a delicious lunch. Lots of info about the history and the area. Yet itself was beautiful, not spectacular but fun to do. Enthusiastic guidance

The guide was very professional and friendly. We felt very well looked after from the beginning. He immediately exuded positive mood and it was huge fun. The four hours passed like a whirlwind. The guide told a lot of information about the region and it was very entertaining and exciting to listen to him. The canoe route is also ideal for beginners. At noon we had very delicious bread with olive oil and vegetables/fruit. We also had plenty of time to swim. A perfect day.

We were a group of 9 (two families). Fotis and Roque were easygoing and joyful guides, great at all aspects of this excursion - instructing us on kayaking, making us feel safe, taking photos to capture the experience, and sharing the fascinating history of Navarino Bay. It was fun to stop at Sphaktiria Island and see a little Russian shrine there, then stop for a beautiful swimming spot and some lunch. The guides are historians, kayaking experts and even foodies who love to share their families' olive oil, olives and delicacies. Such a fun experience during our stay in Messinia!

We had a great time with Trifonas, who guided us and also the children very well. We really enjoyed the great scenery and a lovely prepared lunch. Trifonas also provided some special information about (the history of) the places we passed by.

Our sea kayak trip was really fabulous. Perfectly accessible even for inexperienced people (2 adults and 2 children aged 10 and 12). Our guide Trifonas was charming and absolutely not miserly in explaining the historical setting of the place, it was exciting. We were lucky with wind and weather and could even paddle into the "cave of the dragon". Highly recommended! Muscle soreness guaranteed.

The day was great and we had a wonderful time. The kayaking was beautiful and everyone had afun time (family of 6 - four kids ages 7, 10, 13 and 16). Our guides Yorgos and Yorgos were friendly, charming and very proffessional. The day was planned and executed in the best way possible. We highly reccomend this trip!!

An excellent family kayak tour, with Roques not only being very competent in kayaking, but also a very gentle and passionate guide. We had a very good pre-departure briefing and many comments and explanations about the Navarino bay all along the day.

Our guide George was fun and positive! He made the experience great, even though we could not travel to all the sights due to very windy weather. Lunch was delicious and the guides will help you learn about the area, learn some kayaking skills, and feel relaxed doing it. A perfect outing for a small group of friends, couples, or family. It was also nice that the guides snapped several photos for the group and shared them for free after so you can just focus on the experience.

Our family had a great time on the kayak trip. Nice views from the kayak and from the island we visited and 2 very good and friendly guides. Recommended!

We had a wonderful half day. Everyone enjoyed - teens and even the 8 year girl. The guides were great, shared stories, explain how to paddle and brought with them a picnic meal ( traditional) that was very tasty

Everything was excellent in that activity. The activity was charming and fun. George and Rock were the guides who were charming and professional. Excellent guidance, detailed and clear explanations also for the activity, instructions for the cookies. George also added a detailed explanation about the area, its history - so that's what they put into the sports activity. warmly recommended.

We had a fantastic day on the water. It was relaxed but fun, and they took the time to show our mixed ability group how everything is done. I think exactly what you do depends on the weather and the group, but we paddled across to Sphacteria, where Giorgos gave us a quick history lesson and showed us a beautiful little wooden Russian church. We then paddled to a turquoise beach and had a very memorable Greek picnic, then paddled back. Both guides were very friendly and helpful, including returning a GoPro that my muppet son left on the kayak. Highly recommended, you’ll all have fun!

Fortis provided our family of 6 adults a wonderful day kayaking, swimming, snacking while learning about the history of the area. We would all highly recommend this.

Giorges and Roque were very helpful and patient, and made it fun for the kids! They brought a very traditional lunch. The whole family enjoyed the kayaking trip :)
